Who runs this site
Passport Photo Maker is built and maintained by czhcl123, a solo developer. It started after he got a passport photo rejected for head-size reasons and discovered the specs are simple but hard to find in one place. There is no company behind it — the same person writes the code, the guides and the support replies.

How requirements are verified
Passport photo rules are not opinion — they are published by each country's passport authority. Every size, head height and background colour on this site is compiled from those official pages, not from third-party blogs or photo-studio marketing:

Every spec on this page is compiled from the issuing authority's own guidance (last verified: October 2026). Always confirm with the official source before applying.
Specs change. Each country page carries a "last verified" date, and rules are re-checked against the official sources periodically. If a rule ever differs from the official page, the official page wins.
Privacy
The tool runs entirely in your browser (WebAssembly). Photos are never uploaded to a server, never stored, and there is no account system. The site has no third-party advertising; it uses Ahrefs analytics, which tracks page visits but not photo content.
The business model: the tool is free. If a paid export option ever launches, it will be announced on this page.
Editorial policy
Guides on this site follow one rule: every number must trace back to an official source. Guides are written from the authority's own wording, link to that source, and are dated. There are no affiliate links and no sponsored content.
